ADHD Therapy in Texas (Telehealth)

Support for Children, Teens, & Adults

ADHD can look like procrastination, overwhelm, emotional reactivity, or burnout—especially for bright, capable people who appear to be “holding it together” on the outside. ADHD therapy can help reduce stress, improve follow-through, and build practical systems that work with your brain rather than against it.

Healing Is a Journey LLC provides ADHD-informed therapy through secure telehealth for clients physically located in Texas at the time of session.

Signs ADHD May Be Affecting Your Daily Life

You may be dealing with ADHD if you notice:

  • Difficulty starting or finishing tasks

  • Trouble with routines, organization, or time management

  • Overwhelm from everyday responsibilities

  • Hyperfocus followed by avoidance or shutdown

  • Emotional reactivity, irritability, or frustration

  • Sensitivity to criticism, perfectionism, or rejection sensitivity

  • Anxiety or burnout from trying to “keep up”

ADHD affects motivation, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and relationships—not just attention.

What ADHD Therapy Can Help With

ADHD therapy is both skills-based and emotionally supportive. Together, we may work on:

  • Executive functioning skills (planning, follow-through, routines)

  • Time management and organization strategies that fit real life

  • Emotional regulation and stress tolerance

  • ADHD-related anxiety, shame, and self-criticism

  • Reducing ADHD burnout and all-or-nothing cycles

  • Communication skills for relationships and family life

  • Building sustainable systems for school, work, and daily life

You don’t need a “perfect routine.” You need tools that work in real life.

Who I’m a Fit For

This may be a good fit if you want therapy that is practical, compassionate, and tailored to your goals—especially if you are:

  • A teen or adult who feels chronically behind, overwhelmed, or exhausted

  • A high-achieving student or professional struggling with follow-through

  • A parent seeking support for a child or teen with attention, impulsivity, or emotional regulation challenges

  • Someone who wants skills and support for the shame/stress that often accompanies ADHD

If you’re unsure, start with a consultation and we’ll clarify the best next step.

ADHD Therapy for Children & Teens

Therapy can support young clients with:

  • Attention and impulse regulation

  • Emotional regulation and frustration tolerance

  • School stress, performance pressure, and confidence

  • Homework routines, transitions, and follow-through

  • Coping skills and self-advocacy

Parent collaboration is included when clinically appropriate to reinforce skills and reduce stress at home.

Adult ADHD Therapy

Many adults with ADHD are capable and successful—but chronically overwhelmed. Therapy may support:

  • Reducing procrastination and avoidance cycles

  • Creating routines for work, home, and life

  • Managing emotional overload and burnout

  • Strengthening boundaries and communication

  • Building systems that fit your brain—not perfection
